Joy During the Pandemic

This may be a strange statement, however, it is a true statement. Gerry & I are experiencing JOY through this Pandemic. Sure, there are still many things that are not joyful, but one of the joys we have experienced during the past year has been through a weekly Hymn Sing! The West Green Tree Church of the Brethren in Elizabethtown, PA started a weekly hymn sing ministry exactly one year ago through YouTube. Every Monday night from 7:00 PM to a little after 8:00 PM, we join Ryan Arndt (A truly gifted musician) and we have a joyful time of worship in song. Old Hymns, New Hymns, Choruses, and other types of worship music are shared and sung! It is also a time of fellowship, sharing and prayer. We can even send in our requests to sing our favorite hymns, etc. It is truly a wonderful time of worship – we have been so blessed!
In Colossians 3: 16, we read: “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God.” That is what we are doing on Monday nights! Joining with others throughout the country (there is a great following even from states other than PA) worshipping our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!
