Take time to pause and reflect, to listen and be led. There was a census going on and it caused everyone across the land to make their way to their ancestor’s home town to be registered and counted. Mary and Joseph were in Bethlehem, where Christ was born, because of that census taking. God’s plan and fulfillment of Scripture regarding the Messiah is forever wrapped in the context of counting and assessments being done. As we look back at this past year of 2021 and look forward to 2022, we may assess where we have been. We can “take stock” in a time of pausing and reflecting so we can hear from God and live fully in the plans that He has for us
