PATIENCE…It is Surely Needed NOW!

Oh, how I have leaned on this scripture for many years! I had the experience of being severed from my job with Wachovia Bank after almost 30 years with the company. Plus at the time, I had two (2) children in college! Then I was severed again from my position with Sterling Financial just a few years later. Wow – looking for a job is so stressful and I had to read and re-read that passage many, many times! But God is so good and faithful! He provided me a position with a Christian Organization until I retired in 2015. Everence Financial was certainly an answer to prayer!

But there is more! Since 2008, I have had three (3) knee replacements. Talk about needing patience!!! But again, the Lord provided strength and healing. He is so Good!! Ask my wife about my patience through these surgeries, complications, physical therapy, etc. I really needed that scripture! (Praise God for her patience!)

So what have I learned? Through these trials, I have become closer to God. He has brought my family closer together. He has blessed us with a loving church family that supported me through these trials. I am truly BLESSED!

During these unsettling times in our nation, being the health issues, the hate issues or whatever – read and reread what Paul tells us in The Word.

Look what else he tells us in Romans 12:12 -> “Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer.” 

“My Hope is Built on Nothing Less Than Jesus Blood and Righteousness!” May that be our hope for today!
