The Lord’s Prayer

There is too much to be said in just a few words about the Lord’s prayer and this could be a 5-part series and maybe in the future – but for now, just a few thoughts.
So, I must ask what part does this prayer play in your life? Do we say it daily or even weekly? Is it at the very least a pattern of prayer? Maybe depending on your background, the Lord’s Prayer was a punishment to be said as a form of repentance. My wish is for you to see this in a new light today.

This prayer at its very core is about…..

• you and your relationship to God
• our relationship to each other
• and our relationship to God as a body

God your father is so desperate for relationship with you He has promised saying in this prayer…

• I want to show you my goodness here on earth, not just when you get to heaven.
• I want to provide your daily needs down to the very thing you eat
• I am willing to daily forgive everything you have done, are doing, and will do, that hurt or harmed me and my family.
• I will give you strength when you do face temptation and trials of any kind.

This is not a prayer of distance but of intimacy and relationship. It is a pray of Holiness and unimaginable power that can change your life. In this prayer fear has no place, worry is chased away, control is brought under submission, and hope is restored because you are made pure again.
Thank you Jesus for this seemingly simple prayer!
