I have been the Treasurer for the Ephrata Church of the Brethren (ECOB)for greater than three years. During this time, I have been amazed at the overall giving of the church for the work of HIS KINGDOM. We have been richly blessed and have been faithful to His calling. I think about Deuteronomy 15:10 where it says: “You shall give to him freely, and your heart shall not be grudging when you give to him, because for this the Lord your God will bless you in all your work and in all that you undertake.”
We, as a church, have been blessed in all our work. With our global missions; our local ministries; with our children; with our pastors and staff; our Beyond the Building ministry; our brothers and sisters in Christ; and with our other ministries – WE HAVE BEEN BLESSED!
Even during this ongoing pandemic due to COVID-19, we have been blessed as we continue to do HIS KINGDOM’S work here at ECOB. It may not quite look like our ministries in the past, however, the Lord has led us to “keep on keeping on !” Now it is time to continue HIS work – we, as HIS CHURCH, need to do more during these times. In order to do this, we need the continued financial support from you.
I pray that you listen to God’s calling as it relates to giving to HIS MINISTRIES at ECOB. There is much to do here at ECOB as it relates to HIS Kingdom! As 2 Corinthians 9:7 says: “Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.”
